My name is Saskia Angel. I am a mother of two, a step mum to two more, and I live in Torquay, Victoria. Our home is full of kids, food, study notes, and two whippets who help me reach my daily ten thousand steps. My husband works at Triple Zero and has a genuine passion for helping people. Watching the way he shows up for others inspired me to step away from my twenty year marketing career and study nutrition so I could help people in my own way. I am currently completing a Dietetics Degree and have chosen to specialise in gut health because of my own lived journey.
For years I silently struggled with IBS. I tried to pretend it was manageable, but it had more control over my life than I let on. I had sudden urges to find a toilet, constant bloating and unpredictable digestion. My moods were unsettled, my patience was low and small things overwhelmed me more than they should have. At times I avoided going out in case my stomach played up. I hated feeling that way. I avoided morning outings after coffee because I knew what could happen. The anxiety became a cycle that affected everything.
I saw nutritionists and doctors. One told me it was dairy, so I removed it. Nothing changed. Another ran blood tests and said everything looked normal. The final straw was when a GP handed me a script for what she described as a little gold pill that would make everything better. I was exhausted and emotional. I filled the prescription, took it at home, and within half an hour felt high and disconnected. I googled it and realised it was an antidepressant. I did not want to use antidepressants to fix a gut problem. I wanted a holistic solution. That moment made it clear that nobody was going to resolve this for me. I had to understand my body properly and do it myself.
By this time I had been studying nutrition for a while and had access to thousands of scientific papers through university. I decided to create a structured gut restoration plan for myself. I did not know the exact cause of my symptoms, so I built a program that repaired everything. I removed anything that fed harmful bacteria, healed my gut lining, restored balance to my microbiome, and nourished the good bacteria so they could thrive again. I did all of this through whole foods. No supplements, no processed additives, nothing artificial.
I followed it strictly for ninety days. I gave my gut every opportunity to recover. By the end of that period I realised something incredible. I had not had a single IBS symptom. I felt calm in situations that would have stressed me, my energy was consistent, I slept better, and I lost weight without even trying. I became fit again, returned to long-distance running, and my moods were steadier than they had been in years.
Even with the challenges of peri menopause I felt grounded and clear. My family noticed. My kids noticed. My friends could not believe the change. The truth is, I had simply tolerated feeling awful for years and assumed this was just the reality of being a tired mum.
The most beautiful part is that I can now enjoy all the things I love again. Diving, sailing, multi-day hiking, and running feels effortless and exciting. I have my freedom back. I feel confident leaving the house, exploring new places, and living fully without worrying about finding a bathroom. Healing my gut gave me my life back in ways I never expected.
That transformation changed my life. It made me passionate about helping others heal the same way. With encouragement from friends, family, and colleagues I turned my ninety-day structure into a six-week program that is achievable, sustainable, and scientifically aligned.
The Gut Reboot Program became a combination of everything that fixed me — a clear process, simple food lists, daily education, consistent support, movement, sleep, water, and accountability.
I now coach people through it, and the results are remarkable. Everyone arrives with a different goal and leaves with more confidence in their body, better energy, less inflammation, calmer digestion, more balanced moods, and a completely new understanding of how gut health shapes every part of life.
My purpose now is to help people feel the way I feel — to show them that nothing is wrong with them and that they do not have to live with exhaustion, bloating, cravings, anxiety, or digestive symptoms that rule their day. True change comes from healing the gut. When you heal your gut, you genuinely heal your life.
If you are ready to transform your health, I would love to guide you.
Thanks
Saskia
